2012 Wedding Dress and Hairstyle Trends

2012 is going to be a year of ultra-romance and vintage charm when it comes the design trends in every aspect of weddings, including the wedding dress, accessories, hairstyles, wedding cake and more.

In this competitive market, wedding gown designers are becoming more creative in their designs, making a unique gown for just about every bride. We all have our own vision of what the perfect wedding dress looks like, and chances are, with all of the new designs coming into production, you'll be able to find it!

Here are some of my personal favorite new wedding trends for 2012:

    * Gold accessories are going to be more popular, especially for a fall or winter wedding. Things like gold hair brooches, gold shoes, gold jewelry, and even golden hued wedding gowns. The key to choosing gold accessories with a timeless look, is to choose only one or two that you love. This will keep your look from being too over-the-top.

    * Big layered sheer skirts with lots of interesting details in materials such as chiffon, organza, lace, batiste, crepe, and tulle. Instead of the dress designs you've seen in the past using just one material, dress designers are now incorporating many different materials into one dress, making each one unique.

    * I just love the new corset style bodices with lacing down the back. This is a very sexy yet sophisticated style that goes well with a large ball gown skirt. You'll see a lot of these with intricate detailing using things like beadwork and lace.

    * Vintage inspired wedding gowns with a modern touch. Just choose your favorite era, whether it's the roaring 1920's or a dress inspired from the 1950's, perhaps the dress Marilyn Monroe made famous. I've found a vintage inspired wedding to be a lot of fun! This is your one special day, why not make it your own?

    * Detachable bridal belts can add a unique look to any wedding gown, making it easy to customize the wedding dress you've chosen. Instead of just the colored sash that we've seen on the runways in the past, you now have options in belts that look more like jewelry. They're stunning!

    * Loose and simple hairstyles. Instead of the up-do that looks like it took many grueling hours, styling tools and hairspray to accomplish, think of a more natural look, with loose waves pinned back low on the head or even off to the side.

    * Large hair accessories, such as a gardenia, sparkling brooch with feathers, or a birdcage veil are becoming more popular, but keep your other accessories to a minimum, and let the hair accessory that you have chosen be the focal point.

    * When you think of a pony tail you might think of a more casual affair, but not if you do it right! Low side pony tails look stunning with a one-shoulder wedding dress. This look works best for brides with long hair. Part your hair off to one side and put lots of loose curls in the pony tail. Choose an accessory to go around the band for that finishing touch.

Just remember, the only opinion that matters is your own. Try to keep your stress levels low and just go with your instincts. Choose the things that you love, and you shouldn't go wrong.

Must Read Tips For Choosing Bridesmaid Dresses And Outfits

A group of girls wearing beautiful bridesmaid dresses can not only bring the bride a lot of joy, but also create a better atmosphere for the wedding. It's great to have some friends and family witness such a lovely moment when everyone just looks great. That would be a life-long memory, wouldn't it? So in this article we are going to talk about how to choose fabulous bridesmaid dresses and share some other tips on their outfits:

Tips for choosing bridesmaid dresses

1. The color of the bridesmaid dresses should be in keeping with the color theme of the wedding.
Have you ever seen the movie 27 Dresses? It completely overturns the traditional idea that bridesmaid dresses are only acceptable in pink. The heroine, a hard core bridesmaid, attends 27 weddings in the movie and shocks the audience with her stunning beauty every time. Her experience tells us that bridesmaid dresses need not only be limited to being 'cute' or a certain color; as long as their style matches the theme of the wedding, they can still create stunning bridesmaids. There is a wide range of colors for bridesmaid dresses. For example, in a lavender themed wedding, light purple is a good choice; whereas in a white themed wedding, light green could bring freshness. A blue themed wedding would really work well with light blue, but the main thing is to sit down in advance with some color swatches (you can pick them up for free from the paint section of your local hardware store if you're on a budget) and choose colors which match well and please your eye.

Generally speaking, the best match is two shades belonging to the same color while the dresses can be a little bit lighter. If there is no certain color for the theme, don't worry, choose fairly neutral colors like light pastels.

2. Choose the same color for different style dresses, or the same style dresses if they're different colors.
Some brides think that the more bridesmaids they have the better, but a group of bridesmaids can cause unique problems. How do you make sure that they all look the same when no two women are the same? The principal rule is to have dresses made of the same color and fabric if the style is different; and if the color is different, it would be better to make the style the same or at least similar.

Bridesmaid dresses are (depending on style) almost 'one-time wear' items, so it's a good choice to buy them together in the same shop or boutique. It'll be easier for them to be similar in this way.

3. Convenient to do errands
If it's not so necessary to be formal then bridesmaid dresses with short skirts are better. Knee-length is the optimum length as it won't handicap them when they're rushing about doing jobs for the bride and will also make them look young, lively and full of vigor.

4. Bouquet
Bridesmaids can also have bouquets besides the bride. Make these bouquets smaller than the bride's, and it will create an effect akin to a myriad of stars surrounding the moon. The bride's bouquet should be full of different flowers and appropriate colors as per the theme, but hold back on the bridesmaids' bouquets and make them simpler while still complementing that of the bride.

5. Hair style
Being unified is also good here, and bridesmaids' hair styles must differ from the bride's whilst being similar to each other. If the bride does up her hair, the other girls can wear theirs down. If the bride wears a large tiara then the maids could wear smaller circlets in a similar way to the bouquet matter.

6. Jewelry
Jewelry made of pearls is appropriate for bridesmaids as pearls are rather low-key, have a light color and won't take the attention away from the bride. Actually there doesn't need to be too much jewelry, so a pair of earrings is enough.

Four Important Wedding Stationary Items

When planning your wedding, you may be preoccupied with reserving the perfect venue, choosing a beautiful dress, and designing your wedding cake. One element you do not want to forget is an assortment of high quality wedding stationary. From "save the date" cards to invitations, programs and "thank you" notes, you will need a variety of stationary to make your celebration a success.

1. Save the Date Cards: These cards are a great way to announce your engagement and alert your guests to your upcoming nuptials. Because save the date cards are sent a few months before the invitations, it gives your guests time to make travel plans and clear their schedule so that they will be available to celebrate your special day. This is especially important for those guests who live out of town. Some couples will attach a magnet to these cards so that they can be placed on a refrigerator as a reminder of the event. Depending on your preference, these cards can match your invitations and RSVP cards.

2. Invitations: The invitation that you choose should reflect the style of the ceremony and reception. For example, if you are planning a very formal affair, your invitation should look formal as well. If your wedding will be a casual event with a western theme, your invitation should reflect that style. The invitation lets your guests know what type of attire is appropriate as well as the location and time of the wedding. Depending on your budget, you can have your invitations professionally engraved or save money by printing them yourself at home.

3. RSVP cards: The purpose of RSVP cards is to give the couple a count of how many people they should expect at their wedding ceremony and reception. Caterers will often require a headcount a week or two before the event. It also helps to know how much seating is needed. Include a stamped envelope to encourage a speedy response.

4. Wedding Programs: A wedding program gives your guests an outline of events for your ceremony, including information about the readings, songs, wedding party members, and directions to the reception location. A program makes a unique keepsake of your special day. It too should reflect the theme or style of the day.

Some couples may choose to use more stationary than just these five items. No matter what your needs, be sure to shop around for the best price. You may find that the most affordable wedding supplies can be found at online stores. When you order stationary, take into consideration the time that it may take to receive it, especially if you choose to have it printed or engraved.

Themes For A Winter Wedding

Having a winter wedding gives you the opportunity to be as flamboyant as you like on your wedding day. There are many themes that you just wouldn't be able to pull off during a wedding during any of the other seasons. Have you always envisaged a Narnia inspired spectacular, an elegant black and white ball or a Christmas themed extravaganza? Now is your moment! Discuss with your fiancé what themes fit and work well with your style and personalities as a couple...here are a few enchanting ideas of what your romantic day could entail to start you off.

Why not recreate your own winter wonderland? By using pure white linen with artificial snow scattered around, you and your guests will be transported into Narnia. Centre pieces like silver or white branches and twigs, crystals and fairy lights are simple but extremely effective. Lots of candles give off the perfect amount of light and if added around a scattering of crystals or rhinestones gives a gentle sparkle and a warming glow. Using a hint of colour such as an icy pink, blue or silver on your chair sashes, in your cake, wedding favours and for the bridal party would really pop, and give an extra wow against the white backdrop.

Complete your outfit with a full length fur trimmed cloak or a fur wrap or bolero, with smaller versions for the bridesmaids. Think the snow queen, and look the part in a crown style tiara. Your flower girl could drop glitter, crystals, white petals or snow as you float down the aisle to greet your awaiting husband to be. Carry a bouquet made of crystal flowers, or pure white flowers finished off with a hint of your chosen colour would look equally stunning. Or complete your look with a simple fur muff. Lanterns could be carried by your bridesmaids.

If you really fancy blowing the budget then how about getting in some ice sculptures, alternatively a white chocolate fountain would work well. Icicles and snowflakes, with the odd snowman and snowwoman would help complete this winter whimsical theme. You never you know you may even experience some of the real white fluffy stuff on your big day; just think of the added excitement that would bring!

A black and white ball wedding is the perfect excuse for the men to wear a tuxedo and the ladies to don an evening gown. Elegant, timeless and classic, you can tailor it to be as simple or as extravagant as you desire. You could have a black gown and your bridesmaids in white, or have a wedding dress with black detailing and send your maids off on a jaunt to find their own black dress that works for them. Finding a basic monochrome design and using it throughout the décor in your wedding such as invitations, favours, or cake works well.

Christmas themed weddings are of course a popular choice for a winter wedding. Be careful that the theme does not outshine your wedding day. The traditional Christmas colours of forest green and ruby reds are a stunning combination with a hint of gold, ivory or bronze to give an even colour balance. Think pretty Christmas trees and twinkling fairy lights. Centre pieces could be a tree or a large vase or glass ball filled with baubles, pine cones, holly or mistletoe. Wreaths with a candle in the middle would also be a breath-taking centrepiece. Favours could be a beautiful personalised bauble with your names and the wedding day inscribed on it. Your wedding dress could be complemented by a red cloak, you may even choose to wear a red bridal gown or have some red detail incorporated into it. A bouquet of white or red poinsettias could be that finishing touch. As Christmas is such an inspiring time of year your options are almost endless.

Alternatively New Year's Eve or Valentine's Day works well for an unusual theme. Picture a black tie affair with all your loved ones to see in the New Year and celebrate your marriage as a new chapter of your life begins as Mr and Mrs. Or opt for a sea of reds and pinks with hearts abound for a Valentine's Day theme.

Another option is an Enchanted Forest theme. Lots of branch arrangements carefully placed around the room with maybe a hint of fairies or renaissance. Decorative fairies with pretty fairy wings and headpieces for your flower girls. Fairy lights will add to the ambiance. If you choose the renaissance theme you could ask your guests to dress in period costumes and hold you big day in a castle or a barn, and perhaps choose a period costume inspired wedding dress.

With the number of weddings that take place during the Spring and Summer, your Winter wedding will stand out and be a truly enthralling experience for your guests.

Modern Wedding Invitations By Design

The dream begins at the mailbox. Every young woman breathes a sigh when they see their name in script on "that" envelope. Every mother remembers...every father dreams about his little girl. Modern wedding invitations have changed from the traditional white or cream paper with formal script. Today's invitation designs range from the formal to fun and beyond.

Your dream day starts long before the event. Typically, invitations are mailed six to eight weeks prior to the event. If you are having a destination wedding or international travel for guests this should be extended by four to six weeks. Ordering custom designed wedding invitations can take six to eight weeks for the process. You should plan to begin the invitation design planning no less than four months before the event.

Modern wedding invitations can reflect a bride's personality, common interests of the couple, a fantasy or colour theme - but your invitation design should portray the hope of your future. It will become a keepsake for family and friends. Sketches, pictures, colour samples or detailed descriptions will all assist in allowing your designer to share in the dream and create the perfect invitation. Ask to see samples and view the designer's website to become familiar with their work.

Once the initial design in completed, you will be sent a proof, either in a PDF file or a sample invitation. Carefully review the file for placement of images, text and graphics. Review all text for spelling, capitalisation, punctuation and form. This is your responsibility! Most design houses will take no responsibility for errors once the proof has been reviewed and deemed correct by the client. If you receive a sample, check the above listed items first. Then move onto the paper and envelopes. If you are not satisfied with anything, make the changes now!

If the design requires additional assembly like vellum overlays, ribbons or additional folding of a non-traditional shape, make sure that there is an understanding on who will take care of this. You might enjoy an evening with friends assembling and addressing your invitations, but a box of unassembled invitations would be an unwelcome and unpleasant surprise.

Things to remember to discuss prior to signing a contract are the cancellation policy and fees - sorry ladies this has been known to happen - better safe than sorry! Understand the deposit and when payment in full is required. Set your expectations before you make a commitment.

Your wedding is your day; let your invitation design reflect your dream. Modern wedding invitations are a wonderful way to share your dream, reflect your hopes for the future and keep the fantasy alive.

Picking a Jazz Band for Your Wedding

If you have decided to arrange a jazz band for your wedding, then before actually fixing up a particular type of band, there are certain things that need to be taken in to consideration. First you have to decide whether you want to hire a country band or a classic rock band. You can try to get some feel of the preferences of the friends and relatives by just checking with a few of them in a casual manner. If they want to have some country music, then you can start to look for a popular band in the region specializing in that music genre.

Another major thing to decide upon is whether you are looking for a band that plays in the background or a performer who is capable of giving a rocking performance. You have to decide on this well before you to start looking for the right jazz band.

If you are looking for a band that is capable of giving a rocking performance then you need to look towards that category of jazz band rather than looking at the occasional musicians who treat this as a time pass or a hobby. While looking for a professional band, you need to check the background of the different members of the band. You need to verify their previous experience and in which group they were actually performing.

In order to really treat your friends and relatives to a great rock session of rock music, you have to look for experienced and professional jazz band. Only experienced bands are capable of providing an engaging performance that really gets the audience completely involved in the show.

You can also ask for a written reference from the jazz band members or a written letter of recommendation from their previous customers who had listened to their performance. You need to also check with them whether they will be playing the popular songs during their performance. This will help you to convey the message to some of your friends that the popular numbers will be played by the jazz band. This will raise the interest level among your friends and will be looking forward to the bands' performance.

You also need to get the confirmation from the jazz band that if any of the main members in the group fall sick, a suitable alternative with good experience should be there to fill the space. It's also advisable to catch one of their live performances before they come to perform at your wedding.

Jewelry for Your Own Best Look

Your jewelry can help your style and appearance or be a distraction. If you chose your jewelry based on your size, face shape, hair length, skin tone, and the occasion you are working in the right direction. If you base that choice on your own personal style you can create your own unique look.

Skin Tone

If it you have blue undertones, you have a cool tone. You probably look better with mauve blush and burgundy or plum lipstick. The colors you use in your clothing are blues or blue-based.You look best in silver or platinum.

If the undertones of your skin are yellow or warm, your blush would be in tones of peach and your best lipstick colors are brownish tones or corals. You look best in gold.
Either skin tone can look good with pieces using both silver and gold. You can also chose pearls with shading that will complement your skin. A pearl with pinkish or silver shading will be beautiful on you.For a warm toned skin, you might want to look for a coral or golden tone on your pearls.

One of the most obvious points is that wearing huge jewelry can overwhelm a petite woman and a tiny pearl necklace can be lost on a large woman. However, that petite woman may be able to wear one large piece as a statement if she limits her jewelry to that one piece of accents that huge bracelet with tiny earrings. If she wants a larger look for necklace, the petite woman can wear a series of chains that will give more presence without a chunky or heavy look.

The larger woman may be able to wear a tiny pair of earrings if they are of brilliant design or in a fabulous color or rare gemstone. She would look best in larger pieces or sets, but outrageously large pieces will not necessarily be the best look for the larger woman.

If your face is oval, you can wear a wide range of shapes, sizes and styles of earrings. If you have an oblong, square, triangular or heart shaped face, the combination of your hair style and your earrings can help enhance your face

The width of your face as well as your jaw width can be enhanced or camouflaged by wearing the right earrings. If you have a very wide jaw, having earrings that end just at the jaw will not look good. Your wide square jaw will look good with a longer sleek earring. If your jaw is narrow, you can wear an earring that is a little wider and ends just at the jaw to balance your face.
If your face is very round, you may also want to wear the elongated earring rather than a hoop, which will just make your face look more round. If your forehead is slightly narrow, a larger earring will just bring more weight to the bottom half of your face. You would do better with a button or cluster type of earring.

Trendy jewelry can be fun and it is frequently sold as affordable fashion jewelry or costume jewelry. Wearing fashion jewelry even with last year's outfit can make your look quite contemporary. You do, however need to coordinate the trend with your own personal style as well as your stature. If the trend is toward huge rings and your hands are small or fat, they are not likely to look good on you, so you might want to participate in another of the current styles like a large bracelet or chandelier earrings.

Personal Style

Consider your own personal style first when choosing your jewelry. If you need a set of pearls and your personal style is formal, casual or bohemian, you can see that your choice can be affected. A more formal person can wear a string of pearls or simple chain with post earrings. A person who has a more bohemian personal style may choose vintage jewelry or ethnic jewelry while staying appropriate to her outfit. A casual outdoor type might want to keep her jewelry close fitting and sturdy to work well with her lifestyle.

It is good, if possible to work with your body type, current trends and your coloring, but the key is still to chose jewelry you enjoy wearing and jewelry that suits your personal style. You always seem to look best in what you really love to wear.

Men's Fashion - Designer Suits

"Two thousand dollars for one suit? Are you crazy? I don't have that kind of money to spend on one suit! Yes, I am well aware of the quality and that it is well worth every penny. I just can't justify spending that much on one garment. Oh... but I sure would love to have an Armani."

Rest assured that if you hear yourself in the above comments, you're not alone. Countless businessmen would love to have fancy designer suits, but their budget doesn't allow for it; champagne tastes on a beer budget ... understood! There's a way you can get one or more of these suits without costing you an arm and a leg. If you could buy one for anywhere from $15 to $300, and it wasn't stolen goods, would you? Read on.

Definitions about what makes a man's suit a "Designer" item vary. One eBay seller's definition is "any brand of pre-owned suit that has sold on online auctions for $300 or more." The definition continues, "See for yourself. Do a search on completed auctions for MEN'S SUITS. Sort High to Low in price and see what brands repeatedly come up."

Here are some of the brand names classified as "designer": Acquaviva, Barberini, Baroni,Belvedere, Brioni, Canali, Charvet, David Eden, Dolce & Gabbana, Enrico Venturi, Ermenegildo Zegna, Fendi, Gene Meyer, Gianni Manzoni, Gionfriddo, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Hugo Boss, Leonardo Valenti, Luciano Carreli, Natazzi, Nino Bertini, Otello, Prada, Rossetti, Trussardi, and Versace.

Where are you going to find these suits? If you want to pay under $20, you will need to start hunting at all the thrift/second hand stores. Yes, you will indeed find them there, but you need to search. If you don't mind paying a little more, try going directly to eBay.

If you opt to hunt for your suit, here are a few simply tips for thrift stores. Don't expect these wonderfully made designer suits to jump out at you. And don't expect to find a boatload of them all in one place. It is truly a matter of treasure hunting.

Thrift stores, estate sales, storage unit auctions and garage sales will be your best hunting ground. Not to discourage you, but it won't be uncommon for you to look through 100+ suits until you might find one "good" one. The good news is that after you have a little experience under your belt, you will be able to whip through an entire rack of suits in mere minutes. You will be able to quickly tell just by the look and feel of the garment, which ones are quality. Take your list of "designers" with you and become familiar with the brands you want.

Hint: You will probably need to have a circuit of approximately 10-12 second hard stores that you frequent, hoping to hit the mother load. If you're intrigued in the quest, shop a minimum of once a week at each locale! Your efforts will eventually pay off. If this is more work that you care to spend on finding a suit, try eBay.

Getting Your Next Athletic Pair Of Shoes

There are some people who base their personal view regarding another individual's personality on the type and style of shoes they wear. Although this is not a generally accepted practice, it is extremely common for people to reach a conclusion solely based on the appearance of the apparel another individual selects to wear. The truth is that, as any element of a person's appearance, shoes do actually contribute to the conception others share and do classify people to the right or wrong category. Regardless if this kind of immediate generalization is right or wrong, shoes can enhance or destroy an otherwise good image. Thus, as different human practices develop, shoe-fashion has gone through great transformation over the years. In addition to colors and styles, evolutionary materials and improved design patterns have drawn people's attention to the actual fit of the shoes they are about to buy. As the shoe market continues to increase, and more diverse needs have to be met, shoe manufacturers are constantly researching in order to satisfy all those demanding markets, like that of athletic shoes.

It is really unknowing to leave a shoe store after spending a week's salary on the latest "hot" release of athletic shoes endorsed by a world-wide famous player, only to discover that they really hurt when you attempt to play or run. In fact, very few people take under consideration anything else except their athletic shoes good looks while they check out the promoted models of their favorite sports shoes brands. Considering that about 25% of the US population needs some type of specialized shoe due to their foot structure (flat-footed, pronators, or very high arches), people should be paying great attention to the athletic shoe design that best matches their foot type.

Foot and shoe experts recognize five basic categories of shoe types. One should be familiar with all of them, as preferring to buy one instead of another is directly related to the foot type a person has and the type of exercise he or she is interested in performing. Take for instance the motion-control shoes. Rigid and durable, this type of athletic shoes is control-oriented and known to limit people's inclination to assume a prone position. It is also a good choice for people that suffer from flat feet. But providing the right cushioning and support is also a matter of good shoe stability. Although someone might not suffer from any severe feet problem, like pronation or supination, it is always wise to buy shoes that durable and provide the needed support. People with high foot arches for example, should select cushioned shoes, or if you have no motion-control problems select lightweight training/running type of shoes. Trail shoes are best if you are practicing a sport like off-road running, or have to compete in inclement weather conditions and need extra traction.

Now that you have a rough idea of what kind of athletic shoes you should be looking for, it is best if you visit your shoes store when you do not absolutely need to do so. This way, you can spend more time with the sales person and ask questions for the shoe types, features, brands, or just to compare prices. If you are not in a hurry to get out, you will be able to enjoy the fact that each different shoe type description can give you knew ideas on when, where or how to wear them. Additionally, performing some elementary online research can further assist your decision and probably by the end of the week you will be able to go back to the store well-informed. With 2 to 4 pairs in mind to try out you will be able then to concentrate on the fun stuff, like the shoes' colors and sole footprint. Just remember that shopping athletic shoes when you are well-informed will save you time and money. It's like when you visit the supermarket; never go in there "hungry."

Anorexia Eating Disorder Causes Death to Brazilian Model

It seems to be coincidental. On the same day of the movie debut of Thin about eating disorders, Brazilian model Ana Carolina Reston passed away from complications resulting from anorexia. She was only 21 years old and had represented for top modelling agencies such as Ford. However, at the time of her death, she was severely under nourished. Apparently, she had lived on apples and tomatoes prior to her hospitalization in October. Despite being 1.72m tall, she weighed less than 40 kilos.

Her death drew much attention about the negative consequences from having an anorexia eating disorder. Even Wikipedia, the premier online encyclopedia, has a listing about her. She was not the first person to have died this year from an eating disorder and who caught the attention of the media. Luisel Ramos, 22 had a heart attack in August after surviving on lettuce leaves and Diet Coke for three months.

Ana Carolina had refused help for a long time as she believed that she was not ill. Nevertheless, it was obvious to all around her that she had an eating disorder and was starving herself. She ate very little at meal times but would purge immediately after her meal by throwing up. This behaviour as described is very typical of someone with an anorexia eating disorder. In most cases, an anorexic would refuse treatment until the condition is fairly serious. Some even do not seek treatment at all.

The mother of Ana Carolina wasted no time in spreading the message that no money earned through a lucrative modelling career can be worth the life of a child. She was extremely devastated by the loss of her beautiful daugther.

Ana Carolina had died at a time amidst growing concerns about how designers are promoting the wrong ideas of a body image. Designers had started the use of size zero models who were clearly anorexic.

More fashion spots, including London, are taking notice now due the string of events relating to eating disorders. In September, Madrid refused to allow all models with a body-mass-index (BMI) of less than 18, to be in shows. The World Health Organization considers anyone with a BMI below of 18.5 to be underweight.

The media, including all fashion houses and venues, should have a responsibility in the ideas that they promote. Using anorexic models sends the wrong signals to millions of young girls and women around the world. Anorexia is an eating disorder that needs to be treated as there are strong pyscological concerns. Defining beauty to look as if one is malnourished and anorexic is in poor taste. Women should look healthy and glowing.

Proper Aerobic Clothing

One of the most motivational things you can do when it comes to starting a workout is to buy some good quality and effective aerobic clothing. This should be viewed as a motivational tool, and has been found to be quite useful for many people who want to get started on their exercise program in style. But there is much more to consider than just fashion or looks when it comes to aerobic clothing. Don't make hasty or rash decisions when selecting your outfits, or you may end up just leaving those outfits on your exercise machine to gather dust!

You must remember that your aerobic clothing is an integral and crucial part of your workout. That may sound silly, but you need to understand why this is the case so you won't select the wrong clothing. Wearing an outfit that is inappropriate for the routine will make you very uncomfortable. You will be less likely to return to the health club or gym if the exercise routine and your aerobic clothing are uncomfortable. This is a fact of human nature that we cannot get around, it is hard-wired into us.

Our basic nature has us avoiding unpleasant situations. If a given exercise routine is demending of us but our aerobic clothing gets in the way, we will be likely to skip or eliminate that particular exercise. This is unfortunate because that may have been a very GOOD exercise for you, but you have gotten rid of it NOT because it was beyond your abilities, but because you have the wrong clothing on!

You need to remember to keep the clothing loose. In though some people think it may be in vogue, tight fitting aerobic clothing will limit your range of motion and mobility and could even restrict blood flow in parts of your body. If you are going to invest the time into a workout, make sure it is a GOOD workout, since there is no point in it if you have limited mobility or restricted range of motion. You also want to be sure that you remain well-ventilated not wear something that could restrict blood flow.

You may have heard fashion experts say that black is slimming, but you also need to apply some logic to your selection. Black is a NOT your best color during summer workouts because it will retain and collect heat. You need to choose aerobic clothing that is light in color, which will reflect the sun away from you. If you wear black or darker colors and become hot and sweaty, you could become faint or tire more easily, and there is no sense in sabotaging your own workout!

Start slowly. You are supposed to sweat when you work out, but you don't want to start sweating before you have even stretched your muscles. Getting overheated is a major danger when you do something that puts physical demands on your body and various muscle groups. Wearing light aerobic clothing will help you stay cool and energized during your workout and make your routine much more enjoyable.

If you live in cooler areas of the country, you can benefit from layering your aerobic clothing. If you keep lighter materials closer to the skin, then you can put fleece and heavier material over the top of that. This layering allows you to peel a layer off if you start to feel over-heated.

Costume Ideas for Halloween 2011

Being creative and having fun should be the benchmarks for a more memorable and fun Halloween. In fact, one WTW reader won a costume contest with over 100 participants in a more cute-than-sexy marionette costume complete with strings and giant wooden controller - on her head. But what really swayed the judges was her creativity and winning attitude. Whether you are going solo, getting together with a group of your friends, or pairing up with your significant other, here are some costume inspirations that will get you excited about Halloween all over again.

On Your Own

    * Revisit your childhood and dress up like your favorite girl power characters - remember Jem, Smurfette, Punky Brewster, and Judy Jetson?

    * How scary was the movie Carrie? With a little fake blood; red paint; a pink prom dress; a fake, bloody corsage; and a long wig, you can recreate the prom night scene (and not have to do your hair!).

    * Go traditional and do a real witch, vampire, or bride of Frankenstein costume.

Group Costumes

    * Represent your favorite TV show casts. There's a new group of gals in town! The ladies of the new hit ABC TV show Pan Am. If you are hardpressed to find a good Pan Am costume for all the gals in your group, try a generic costume - and be the life of the party as these flight attendants had been in their hey-day. Click here to see "stewardess" costumes or here. Better yet, be the captain.

    * Do something that stands out and is totally silly - like the Fantana girls.

    * Mystery, Inc. Team. You know them as Shaggy, Velma, Fred, Daphne, and Scooby.

    * Gilligan's Island. Ginger, Mary Anne, The Professor, The Howells, The Skipper, and Gilligan. Easy to make, easy to pull off.

    * Wizard of Oz. Skip into the party as Dorothy, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, The Tin Man...and Toto.

Couple Costumes

    * Ones we never think of: Lucy and Ricky, Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing (think the last scene - "Nobody puts Baby in a corner"), Michael Jackson and his girlfriend in the "Thriller" video...get creative!

    * The ones you see all the time: Bonnie and Clyde (those broad-shouldered jackets are so in, after all), Popeye and Olive Oyl, any Disney couple.

    * Get really artsy (and super-Halloween), like last year's movie characters Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett.

If the weather gets nippy, bring a coordinating jacket, cape, or wrap and make it a part of your costume. Make sure you check out the conditions of your outing. If you are going to be outside and the weather will be warm, forego the vinyl catsuit so you don't feel as catty as you look.

Tips in Purchasing and Caring for Real Hair Wigs

Nowadays, you can find several different styles, lengths and colors of real hair wigs on the market. There are many benefits in wearing these wigs. Not only do they help cover up bald patches but they also help improve the appearances of the ones using them. But the reasons for wearing them are not the same for every individual.

There are some people who wear wigs because they want to know whether or not a new hair color would look good on them or not. Others just simply want to look different and get a total makeover.

Since wigs have recently become very popular especially to celebrities, synthetic wigs became highly demanded on the market. Although this might be the case, many are still looking for real wigs. For this reason, numerous manufacturers have created human wigs and made them available on the market.

Have you ever wondered where all these wigs come from? The truth is, these wigs are made out of hair from customers at salons. In short, they are donated hair. But they were not taken for free, the owners of these hairs were paid.

How do real hair wigs get their natural look? At first, they are treated with the use of chemicals. After that, they are then washed. They will then undergo conditioning to make them look very natural. While these wigs are going through these processes, they are also altered in such a way that they can be treated like real hair.

These wigs will then be colored after the treatments are done. This is the reason why you can see various colors available for these wigs on the market. Are you interested to know how to care for real wigs? Actually, it is very easy. Here's how.

First of all, you must not wash the wig on a daily basis. During summer, make sure you are able to wear it at least six to eight times first before washing it. On the other hand, use the wig for at least fifteen times first before you wash it during winter season.

Make it a point to brush your wig all the time so that tangles would be prevented. Whenever you wash your wig, always use a mild shampoo and cold water and avoid scrubbing it. Once you are done washing it, use a towel to dry it. Alternately, you may use a dryer or hang it on a wire head. When styling your wigs, make sure to use only light hair spray and hot styling tools to avoid destroying it.

Some important tips to remember when buying real wigs is to always choose manufacturers that are well known. Doing so can help you make sure that what you get is a high quality wig. It is also advisable to buy the accessories of your wig from the same store where you bought it.

Keep these simple reminders in mind for they help guarantee that real hair wigs stay in good condition and that the products you are able to buy are really the best ones on the market.

Several Tips When Choosing Mens Suits for Weddings

Mens suits for weddings should not make grooms look and feel uneasy. Needless to say, grooms should feel exceptionally confident on that special day. With the proper fashion guidance, grooms can look unique, classy, and more handsome on their wedding occasion. Some experts are here to share some of their helpful insights with open arms.

How can grooms choose the best mens suits for weddings? While it is true that you can never go wrong by buying signature suits from well-known designers, however not everyone is able to afford the idea due to cost constraints. Having a suit customized by a reputable tailor is a good idea, but at times, men do not have sufficient time and patience to go through this process.

Here are several tips that will surely help you choose and purchase the right suits for your wedding. You do not have to stick with the most expensive designer brands or opt for costly customized suits.

Be sure mens suits for weddings have the right fit

Do not fall into the trap of buying a suit that is too big for you. No man would want to look bulky or baggy during his wedding day. At the same time, any groom would also definitely look odd and embarrassed wearing a suit that is too tight. A body-fit suit may be acceptable but if it is awfully tight, it would only make you look hilarious in addition to being very uncomfortable.

You can avoid this embarrassing and funny situation. Experts recommend mens suits for weddings should be given an opportunity to be tested at least a week prior to the wedding day. This is to make sure that the suits perfectly fit. Doing so would give ample time to find a replacement or do necessary alterations in case mens suits for weddings do not properly and fashionably fit.

Choose comfortable mens suits for weddings

Fashion is not everything when it comes to mens suits for weddings. It solely depends on the occasion. The most important tip is just to make sure your suit is right for the occasion. Fashion should not compromise your overall comfort. Thus, choose a wedding suit that would feel comfortable when worn.

The best way to do so is to pick a suit made of fabric that matches the time of the day, the climate, and the season. Do not swelter under heavy wool on your summer wedding. If you sweat easily, have a second shirt ready so you could easily change halfway through the wedding day.

Mens suits for weddings for various body types

As mentioned, choose a suit that is most ideal and fashionable for your specific body type. The right goal would be to look like a dashing debonair in duds rather than a little boy swallowed by his father's coat.

Short guys should opt for single-breasted suits or jackets. Jackets or suits with double breasts would make you look drowning in fabric, which in turn could make you look smaller. Choose lower-button mens suits for weddings if your middle body portion is bigger so you could achieve a longer silhouette.

5 Tips on Choosing Children's Clothes

The arrival of newborn babies in the family is an exciting time for the parents. The anticipation of parents in preparing of the nursery, thinking up of names for the little one only serves to build up the excitement when the little one arrives.

Indeed, retailers certainly know how to tap onto the excitement (and purchasing power) of parents. There are clothes and baby products of every conceivable kind. When once in the days of old when choice was limited, today's babies are certainly spoilt for choice. One-piece jumpsuits, baby clothes made out of organic fair trade cotton, or vegetable dyes (for sensitive skins) and polyester - indeed the list goes on.

Should parents buy clothes based on how cute their baby's going to look or should they not put too much thought into how fashionable their tots will be, given that babies outgrow their clothes very fast?

Here, I provide you with 5 tips on choosing clothes for your little bundle of joy:

1. Choice of Fabrics: Quality fabric should be the topmost priority while making the decision of purchasing children's garments as it is directly related to your kid's health. Dresses made up using artificial fabrics like polyester, rayon etc. can be harmful for your baby. On the contrary, cotton-made-dresses that allow sufficient air passing through the clothes are favorable for children's health and skin. Some fabrics are made organically and others contain chemicals, and you should always pick up the organic garments for your kids. Make sure the dresses you buy have nothing attached to them that posses the possibility of your kids getting choked or hurt.

2. Size: Since babies grow very fast, most of the parents and relatives prefer to buy extra-large size for those kids. This is in a way a vigilant decision as it is provides the provision of using those dresses for a long. But, you should put a second thought. Kids are quite prone to put everything in their mouth and those large-size costumes facilitate them with the perfect opportunity to put something in their mouth. On the contrary, wearing them very tight dress can make them feel uncomfortable and uneasy. Try to buy the dresses based on their body shapes, not on their ages.

3. Season: You must consider the season and weather when you grab clothes for your baby. During the summer choose something that will keep the baby cool and in winter something warmer and cozy. Kids living in the area where climate changes pretty frequently should be taken extra care. Nothing is worse than having a wailing, fretful baby who is feeling either too warm or too cold. Dress for the season - choose breathable fabrics such as cotton during summer and fleece during colder months. As a rule, dress according the number of layers that you are wearing, plus one additional layer for the baby. Don't forget to also outfit your baby's wardrobe with clothes suitable for playing, going out or sleeping.

4. Color: Colors have an acute relationship with the heat transmission and that should be considered when you take your baby outside. A white dress is a more reasonable choice when visiting outside in a sunny day.Colors attract kids and rationally chosen colorful dressed will cheer them up which is an important essence for their physical psychological growth. Be smart in case of color. Pick something bright and brilliant; neither too dull nor too much gaudy.

5. Brand: Brands do matter and as a matter of fact a renowned brand offers a superior quality. If you spend a little more and rely on a prominent brand, you will be buying best costumes for your baby in terms of quality, safety and hygiene.

There are clothes and baby products of every conceivable kind. When once in the days of old when choice was limited, today's babies are certainly spoil for choice. One-piece jumpsuits, baby clothes made out of organic fair trade cotton, or vegetable dyes (for sensitive skins) and polyester - indeed the list goes on. Choose the dresses that best fit's your kids, conform to their delight and healthy.

Deck Shoes - A Comprehensive Guide

Deck shoes have been around for quite some time now, since 1935 in fact. They also go by another common name these days, boat shoes. The one that is credited with the invention of boat shoes is Paul Sperry. He gained inspiration from his pet Terrier after witnessing his dog running on ice. Marveling that the Terrier still retained a reasonable amount of grip, he set about creating a shoe that would do the same on slippery surfaces. The result, is the world's first deck shoe.

Grip levels are increased by a special pattern on the sole. This pattern is known as "sipping". It is essentially a myriad of thin cuts on the sole that gives it its great gripping ability. Since its inception, these shoes went on to become the most widely used footwear on boats particularly in the West. The soles also have the strange ability to leave no marks on the surface. Materials used for deck shoes almost always revolve around leather of some sort as they provide the best resistance against moisture. Additionally, they are treated to further increase this resistance.

There are other options available on the market. These include shoes made from canvas and cloth. They may not be as water resistant as leather is but they tend to dry out very quickly. These materials are also breathable which makes them ideal for warmer weather.

The inherent functionality that comes with these shoes means that they are the perfect solution for sailing enthusiasts and deck hand the world over. Just about any activity that takes place over water is an ideal environment for them. As such, they can be used for kayaking, rowing and even fishing expeditions.

Boat/Deck shoes provide optimal comfort while remaining on your feet for prolonged periods of time. The leather used for boat shoes are combined with oil that makes them water resistant and softer. This makes boat shoes ideal quite comfortable to wear. Those made from canvas are even more comfortable to because they are lighter and softer than leather.

Boat shoes are known for their durability. A pair can last for years if you know how to take care of them. Even though they are meant to get wet, you should give them the chance to dry out thoroughly. If not, there is possibility that mold and mildew may form. So when not in use, hang them up or put them in a well ventilated area. Remove the insoles to make sure it is dry inside and out. Use leather conditioners to retain its appearance and to protect it from wear and tear. Mink oil is ideal for darker colored boat shoes while spray silicone is better for light colored shoes.

Nothing lasts forever so you should also pay attention to the soles of your boat/deck shoes. If the patterns are worn out, you should have them replaced or repaired to prevent slipping on wet surfaces.

Red Shirt Dress

A shirt dress is a very versatile outfit to have in one's wardrobe as you can wear it in so many different ways. A lot of women wear an outfit with the same accessories every time they wear it. There are so many ways to change the look of any outfit, and a shirt dress is a good example. However, instead of a neutral colored one, why not get a red one? It could be any shade of red that suits your skin tone. Put the color next to your face and look at yourself in the mirror. If it makes your skin look alive, then that's the right shade. You can find them made from various materials such as cotton, silk, cotton-mix and linen.

Since a shirt dress is cut loose, it gives you plenty of opportunities to vary its look to suit the occasion. A casual look can be had by wearing it over dark brown leggings and a fitted t-shirt in the same color as the leggings. Belt in the dress with either a thin belt or a medium-sized one in red. Wear neutral colored medium height sandals and you're good to go. This is a subtle look and will play the red down a bit. If you want it to be striking, choose cream colored leggings and t-shirt. This will give emphasis to the red and make you stand out in a crowd.

For the office, wear black shoes and belt to tone down the red. However, if you have a blood-red shirt dress, you have to be careful if you don't want to be noticed. Remember, bold red gets you noticed anywhere! Another option would be to tuck your dress into a black or tan skirt or pants. Yes, you've turned your dress into a shirt. That was a clever trick.

For an evening out, wear your black peep-toe heels, carry a red clutch and put on some red lipstick. That should get you some head-turning looks and you'll be sure to enjoy the attention. If you want a subtler look, go for black shoes in a medium height heel, a black purse and a pinkish lipstick with a little heavier eye make-up.

Bring it to the beach with you and have some fun turning it into a cover-all. No need for pareos with this dress in hand. Wear it loose over your swimsuit to have a meal before sunning yourself on the deck chair. Tie a colorful scarf that has splashes of red in it around your neck or hair and you've got instant glam at the beach.

Red is wonderful color to experiment and have some fun with. It is not a color that is reserved only for the daring few. It can be worn by anyone and the trick is to choose the right shade for your skin tone. Once you've done that, you can wear it for almost any occasion. Accessorize it according to the situation and you can have any look you want. Get one today to add to your collection of outfits and wear it with confidence. Look for additional ways to wear it in magazines, online catalogs and even people walking on the street. Look at the ways it can be worn and inspire yourself.

The Fashion of Urban Clothing

Urban fashion, in some form or other, has been present since up-and-coming generations began feeling the need to express their individuality through the way they dress - to stand out from the multitudes and be seen. Urban clothing is based around practicality as well as expression, and tends to mostly feature style pieces that cater to an active lifestyle. If a city girl spends most of her time walking from destination to destination, she'll be wearing shoes that will be reasonably comfortable and hardy while still bold - clothes that stare back at onlookers.

This is where the street wear concept is born. Standing in a crowd of young people and looking about, one can see the urban street wear aesthetic at work. Street shoes, or "kicks," are mainly sneakers, Converse or other canvas shoes, high-tops, skate shoes and boots. Practicality is key, but not the ruling factor. One will see girls in heels, but these girls can run in them. They are not wobbly, high-fashion shoes. Denim, corduroy and pleather skinny-cut pants in a wide range of colors, bright graphic tees and modified blouses, and hooded sweatshirts are common, often with bold brand names and patterns on them. Street wear is all about taking color and print variations and seeing how many combinations can be made of them.

Skate wear is a little less varied. Tee-shirts, tank tops and hooded sweatshirts are prevalent. Denim is the staple for pants and shoes are specifically designed to fit this category. Skate shoes are made by many brands and are specially designed to perform under the pressure of skate-boarding. These shoes have built-in arch supports inside and have thickly padded sides, tops and tongues. They are usually laced with thick laces to keep them from breaking easily. The soles are made out of rubber that grabs the board for easy traction, but it has very insignificant tread. Skate shoes are practically flat on the bottom.

Hip hop clothing is essentially the height of individual expression in the urban scene. This category takes the color combinations to the extreme. Jeans are loose or stretch and shoes are meant to hug the feet. Tee shirts and sweatshirts are common among guys, while the girls go for tightly fitting tees and stretch or loose blouses. The key is movement. Hip hop clothes are made to dance in. The intent is to make a flashy statement while not being held back by the seams in one's jeans.

Urban clothing is nothing if not a menagerie of textures, colors and attitudes. This is a style that cannot be copied or exactly mimicked. Each individual compiles their style according to what fits their personality. Urban style is all about embracing movement, having soul.

Vintage Tweed Jackets

The term Tweed engenders certain thoughts and even makes your face look happier as you speak it. It's a material that always makes you dream of days out shooting in the Highlands, riding a horse, hacking away with a golf club (in the days before bad taste became de rigueur) or being worn by a nineteenth-century crime-solving genius and resident of 221B Baker Street. What is odd about this special material is that it is linked with upper- and middle-class luxury yet feels quite rough, unlike most luxury materials which are noted for their smoothness, softness, beauty or sheer amount of hard work required to craft it.

The clue to tweed's popularity among society's elite is in the pursuits for which it was adopted. Outdoor pursuits in the British cold seasons required just enough wrapping up to beat the harshest chills, allow free movement and maintain one's manliness, and the tweed jacket fitted the bill perfectly. The fabric came from the Scottish borders, where a warm and reasonably somewhat waterproof fabric would have been required by anyone venturing out between late autumn and early spring. But more than just farmers used the properties of tweed. Adventurers and explorers used tweed in Arctic and Antarctic challenges, using tweed for warmth and resilience but, sometimes though the fabric was not enough to keep them alive.

The popularity of tweed eventually would lead to its adoption by people from all walks of life, perhaps originally with irony but latterly with more of a fashion direction. Tweed jackets made an appearance as a purely fashion item during the 1980s among the "Sloane Rangers", upper class types who certainly would not have been seen halfway up a mountain, but quite liked passing themselves off as outdoor types, as long as "outdoor" happened to be in Chelsea. And inevitably the look would filter through to all of society as riding chic took hold in the same decade. (Out on the rural estates the toffs looked on aghast and rifled through the Yellow Pages to find their nearest waxed jacket supplier.)

In terms of fashion and style, the tweed jacket stands alone, quite literally. Its coarseness is key to its ability to maintain its tailored shape whatever the situation, and that's pretty much a guarantee of popularity in some quarters. The resultant smartness and the iconic tweed twine still conjure up thoughts of outdoor moor tramping, and for experts in juxtaposition this makes it perfect city wear. If you really want to test the boundaries, you could go all out with leather elbow patches, cuffs and even shoulder pads, although designers have had plenty of fun with these original features and the patches can now be found in all manner of colours, patterns and fabrics.

So whether you're looking for the authentic Harris Tweed blazer or a modern urban interpretation, the past century will offer many a fine example of ingenuity and style. Vintage clothing stores are a great spot to start your search, and if you can pull off a clipped English accent without laughing, you're going to pull off the look no problem.

Well looked after tweed jackets can look great and there many available in vintage fashion stores. These jackets are often available at low prices in vintage clothing stores and always look stylish and exhibit quality.

Advantages of Purchasing Cheap Wholesale Clothing

For many people, the rapid rise in inflation and prices of everyday products is becoming something quite difficult to handle. People who have standard incomes and have their own jobs often have to manage their budgets carefully in order to ensure that they are able to see the month through till the time that their next salary comes by. For this reason, it is important that these people take care of expenses carefully. By the word care, what we mean is to ensure that unnecessary spending is kept at a minimum and that people are able to live their lives without having to compromise on basic things such as food, clothing and shelter.

Now, when the category of clothes is discussed about, there are so many things that can be talked about in general. Clothes come in a variety of different designs, categories and sizes, so there are virtually a never-ending variety of different clothes for people to choose from. Apart from this, since the turn of the fashion industry, designer wear has almost always been available to people in some form or another. Designer wear generally means clothes that have been designed by professional designers, which are then sold on to the general public. Now, as you can imagine, designer wear is highly expensive, and people have to be really careful in order to ensure that the clothes that they buy are actually worth the price that they are buying.

When you talk about garments, most people generally consider quantity over quality, so a large variety of people often tend to buy clothes from cheap wholesale clothing stores in order to make life much easier for the family and to ensure that their budgets do not get out hand. However, that is most certainly not the case as cheap wholesale clothing is certainly passed through a series of quality control tests before it is released in to the market.

Hence, the first doubt that people should clear from their heads is that cheap wholesale clothing has any issues or defects. The reason why it is sold at a lower price than the retail market is just because it is sold in bulk, which allows the dealers to earn extra profits. Because of this reason and because they want to enhance their sales, these dealers sell cheap wholesale clothing to their customers. Women's Shoes - Clarks

C. & J. Clarks women shoes are one of the most famous shoe retailers and manufacturers worldwide. The company originated in Somerset, England and has been in the business since 1828. To this day, it is still run by the Clark family. To bring those unfamiliar with the Clarks brand up to speed, the company was the brainchild of two brothers, Cyrus and James Clark back in 1825. But the company originally specialized in stapling wool and tanning and later started producing sheepskin slippers in 1828.

In fact, it wasn't until 1893 when William Claark, son of James Clark took over the company that the company turned its focus on producing "comfort shoes". After multiple successes on the company's part, we have what we know today as one of the most successful and well known shoes manufacturers to date. In fact, Clarks is currently the 33rd largest private company located in the UK today. However, due to the alarming increase in the production costs in The U.K., Clarks are no longer manufacturing their products in Somerset but have instead outsourced production to the Far East.

Today, despite all the changes endured and experience gained by the company over a little under two centuries, their comfort shoes are still as comfortable as ever. In fact, sales are so good that last year alone, Clarks had a sales figure of £1,174 million with a profit of £125 million. The company consistently maintains its reputation as one of the best in the shoe industry with its endless designs for men, women and even children. Clarks has been and still is one of the most popular brands for women's shoes today.

The above sales figure alone is testament to the special place Clarks hold in many women's hearts. Regardless of how eccentric or exuberant the design, the quality and reliability of the footwear remains constant if not improved over the years. One of the more famous variants is the extremely successful Clark Desert Boots introduced in the year 1950. However, when it was first introduced, these shoes were originally produced mainly for men. Over the years, women have also come to love these simple yet comfortable and delightful boots.

In fact, Clarks desert boots are still one of the more popular designs of the brand's products. Apart from these boots, Clarks also makes some of the best sandals in the industry. This includes casual sandals intended for home use as well as Clarks Navan Slingback Sandals. Apart from the large variety of designs, the focus on the comfort of the wearer is equally important to Clarks. As such, their footwear more often than not comes with numerous comfort improving features such as soft suede materials which gives the shoe a softer feel. Most of the shoes also come with padded heels which are one of the better ways to relieve yourself from foot pain.

It is also a distinctly British brand that is much loved in the United Kingdom. Over the years, the brand has been synonymous with quality and understated styling. Perfect for casual wear or the rugged outdoors, they may cost a bit more but are well worth the price.

The World Of Designer Men's Footwear

Practically all the men around the world have a minimum of one pair of shoes. All men need shoes because walking around barefoot is not practical. When shopping for men's shoes, men usually base their decisions on how comfortably the shoes fit and how durable the shoes are. Women, on the other hand, can shop for shoes for hours before choosing a pair and they often end up exchanging them after they get them home.

A lot of men are not aware of it, but they need to know four basic things about buying designer shoes. Some shoes are intended for a specific purpose like work shoes. You can't wear loafers to a job where heavy work boots are needed. Athletes also need special types of shoes and they need good shoes or else their performance could suffer. A lot of men are not aware of the types of designer shoes they need for the various occasions in their life. When men are wearing a nice suit, they need nice dress shoes.

The following are the most common kinds of designer shoes for men:

Oxfords are lace up shoes for men that have a structural design and are stylish. Oxfords sit below a man's ankles. Oxfords come in a few different types including:

   1. Bluchers - These open laced shoes have a side stitch on the top front of the shoe.
   2. Balmorals - These closed laced oxfords are closed by laces stitched under the front part closing over the tongue. That way, the appearance is as if it is one piece of leather.
   3. Cap Shoe - This is an oxford that has an additional piece of leather at the toe of the shoe. Cap shoes can have leather embroidery on them or they can be plain.
   4. Saddle - These oxfords have a saddle shape leather piece on the instep.
   5. Kilties - The tongue of these is made from fringed leather which covers the instep so you don't see the laces or eyelets.
   6. Wingtops - These are the most common types of oxfords and have broguering on the toes that looks like a bird with its wings extended.

Loafers are a type of dress shoes that are low cut and resemble a moccasin on the top. These shoes have wide, flat heels. Loafers come in different types including penny loafers, moccasins, tassels, and buckles.

Men's shoes are about more than dress shoes. Casual shoes resemble oxfords but have rubber soles. These types of shoes for men go great with jeans, khakis, corduroys, and other casual pants.

The main point of this article is to inform you about the right shoe to buy for the different occasions in life you will encounter. If you have an important work meeting put on a pair of oxfords. If less casual then loafers will probably do. There are men's shoes for any occasion.

Fashion Trends in Men's Ties

Just like fashion for women, men's fashion changes from year to year and season to season. While ties are a staple that will never really go out of style, there are some changes in men's fashion that can make these staple items look dated. Keeping up with the changes in men's fashion will ensure that you look your best when you leave the house, whether you are headed to work, school, or out with that special someone. The following are a few of the latest trends in men's fashion, and following them doesn't require you to buy a new wardrobe.

One trend that has been seen on runways around the world is the addition of bold textures in traditional menswear items. The great thing about this trend is that it is very wearable, and even the most fashion-challenged guy can update his look with just a few pieces. With fall's cooler weather rapidly approaching, look for textures that are as warm and functional as they are fashionable. For example, adding a sweater with a chunky knit to your work outfit adds texture and style while still being warm and comfortable. The trend is ideal for accessories; you can add texture with everything from your fall jacket to your necktie. Men's ties in luxuriously textured fabrics are the perfect way to introduce texture in a way that isn't too wild to wear to work. Look for ties that have a distinct texture or unique material- even traditional silk ties that include a nubby texture look up-to-date while still being easy to wear.

Bold colors are another important trend this season. Bold colors don't mean that you have to dress like a kid, but they do allow you to add some fun into your regular wardrobe. To add bold colors without spending a fortune on new pieces for your wardrobe, turn to accessories. Men's ties offer a fun way to introduce bold colors into your wardrobe, but you can also add touches like a watch with a face in a bold color or even a bow tie in a bright shade.

The pattern of the season is bold stripes, replacing the thin pencil stripes that have been around for many years. This season's stripes are inspired by nautical styles, and have an Ivy League look that makes them ideal for even the most conservative environment. You can include bold stripes in items like rugby style shirts and sweaters for weekend wear, or you can try out stripes on accessory items like men's ties, socks, hats, scarves, and more. The trend is very wearable, and adding a single piece with bold stripes makes an instant style statement. Men's ties with bold stripes can be subtle - such as tone on tone ties that can be worn anywhere - or bold, mixing two bright shades.

Dressing fashionably doesn't mean that you have to spend your days pouring over men's magazines or shopping for hours on end. Learning a few of the latest trends and adding a few inexpensive pieces to your wardrobe will ensure that your style is modern while still expressing your personality. Look for pieces that incorporate trends while still being classic enough for you to wear for years to come.
